NEW YORK — A man was fatally shot by police in the Bronx on Friday.
It happened just after 7 p.m. at Hunts Point and Seneca avenues in Hunts Point.
As CBS2’s Thalia Perez reports, police say plainclothes detectives were in the area for an unrelated investigation and observed the suspect get out of a vehicle with a gun.
Police say the suspect was in a dispute with someone and had gone to his car to get a gun.
It’s unclear what happened next and what led to the gunfire.
According to police, the suspect has died, and a gun was recovered from the scene.
Police say no officers were injured, but they were taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
